YouthNet is delighted to receive its first funding from the European Commission under the Youth in Action programme. The funding of £24,000 will enable us to carry out a National Youth Seminar exploring issues of culture and identity within Europe.

Youth in Action is the Programme the European Union has set up for young people. It aims to inspire a sense of active European citizenship, solidarity and tolerance among young Europeans and to involve them in shaping the Union's future.

Through an online survey and discussion groups, our project will provide an insight into young people's attitudes on diversity and inter-cultural issues such as immigration, lifestyles and society helping to promote tolerance and encourage a sense of European citizenship.
